Blu Coal are looking for Buyer/Fleet Manager to procure cables and materials whilst managing the relationship between the company and suppliers. The other aspect of the role entails managing the day to day running of the fleet as well as sourcing new vehicles and potentially new vendors.
Responsibilities
??? To manage the strategic relationship with key Cable and Material suppliers
??? To Work collaboratively with the SHEQ Manager to ensure our project related Material procurement and management process and procedures are in line with the requirements laid down by the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)
??? To take responsibility for annual purchases
??? Develop and enhance procurement process and procedures
??? To work collaboratively with the Construction team
??? Identify new suppliers and manage supplier approval process
??? Issue RFQ's as and when required
??? Conduct regular supplier reviews, assessments and comparisons
??? Participate in contractual negotiations
??? Produce spend analysis and KPI's
??? Procure new vehicles either by lease or purchase in line with the Company Car Policy
??? Maintain the Fleet Book as an accurate record of the status of all vehicles
??? Maintain the Webfleet Vehicle Tracker database with up-to-date allocations of vehicles, monitoring where necessary improper statistics
??? Managements of Control Fuel Cards and spend.
??? Arrange equipment suppliers to customise commercial vehicles to company specified requirements; purchase of vehicle hardware as required e.g. Internal racking, Satnavs, Dash Cams, Limiters and their subsequent fitting and commissioning.
??? Managing the Fleet Insurance List to ensure all cars are recorded on the database.
??? Maintain Driving Licence database to ensure company Duty of Care and fleet insurance compliance
??? Secure all spare vehicle keys, along with V5 forms for audit
??? Arrange handover of Company vehicles to identified drivers with information packs
??? Arrange and conduct return of leased vehicles at contract end, minimising cost impact to company
??? Arrange disposal of "aged out" vehicles
Essential Skills
??? Experienced buying skills with the ability to demonstrate commercial acumen and proven negotiations skills
??? Strong customer service focus (be they internal or external)
??? Ability to adapt to a fast changing environment
??? Desire for achieving strong financial control without constraining the business objectives
??? Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with ERP systems
??? Good communication skills
