BMR Solutions is currently looking to recruit for an Assembly & Test Engineer to work for our client who specialises in the manufacture of hi-tech special purpose machines.
Position: Assembly & Test Engineer
Salary: ??25,000 - ??30,000 + O/T + Bonus
Location: Bristol
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday // Finish at 16:30 Friday

Assembly & Test Engineer
The Company
Our Client specialise in the manufacture of hi-tech industrial balancing machines. They supply to a wide range of industries in particular manufacturers of automotive and aeronautical components. Their products are manufactured at our site in Bristol and are distributed worldwide, with markets being the UK, Europe, USA and Mexico.
The Position
Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced assembly & test engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be taking on a split role consisting of:
??Building and testing of balance machines at our factory in Bristol.
??The servicing of our balance machines, customer training and other related engineering services at customer's factories throughout UK and the world.
Due to the markets they sell to the successful candidate will have to liaise with people from different cultural and working practices. The position is predominantly based in Bristol however travel within the UK and abroad will be required which can be up to 1 month at a time although usually only lasts for 2-5 days.
It is essential for this role to have the ability to organise your own time, integrate within the team and provide excellent service to our customers.
Please note training in all aspects of the machinery will be provided.
General Overview of Responsibilities
Building machines to include
??Mechanical assembly
??Electrical integration
??Machine testing
??Fault finding
??Problem solving
??Machine servicing to include supervision of machine installation
??Machine commissioning
??Routine servicing
??Customer training.
??Working in the UK and abroad
??Out of hour's technical support (rota) - once competent
Required Experience
??Advanced mechanical or electrical skills
??Previous travel abroad would be beneficial
??Working knowledge of Allen Bradley controls advantageous
??Should be IT literate

Apprentice trained
