Revit Technician - Bristol
A leading Engineering Consultancy have an opportunity for a Revit technician to join thier structural engineering team based in either Bristol.
Overview of the role
You will be responsible for the timely delivery, accuracy, recording and filing of all drawing information, as well as ensuring all drawings are accurate and contain sufficient and buildable information appropriate to the stage of the project. You may assist in the engineering design where requested but the prime responsibility is to ensure all details are appropriate and co-ordinated with other disciplines' drawings and that there are no gaps in the information presented at tender and construction issue stage.
Core job functions/responsibilities
* Production of accurate and clear technical engineering drawings for scheme, tender and construction stages
* Checking and approval of other technicians' work
* Develop appropriate details in conjunction with project engineer
* Liaison with engineers, architects, the design team and contractors
* Assistance with project running, site surveys and inspections
* Mentoring and training junior technicians to assist their qualification and onward progression to senior engineer status
* Correct implementation of company QA, IMS, (including archiving) and H&S procedures.
Person requirements
* HNC in civil/structural engineering OR a first degree in a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in building structures or infrastructure technical drawing production
* Self-motivated team player with good people skills
* Strong CAD skills
* Revit experience
* Strong communication skills.
This is a permanent position, offering a salary of ??26,000 to ??38,000 depending on experience, plus an excellent flexible benefits package.
