CLIENT: My client has a strong presence in the hazardous waste management industry. They are looking to hire a Mobile Site Chemist or Graduate Site Chemist with industrial and technical experience.
Previous roles may include: Shift Chemist or Site Chemist, Process Chemist, Technical Assessor, Chemical Manufacture, Transfer Station Chemist, Mobile Site Chemist
Graduates Looking to relocate will be considered.
LOCATION: Bristol
ROLE: Site Chemist / Graduate Site Chemist
Taking and analysing hazardous and chemical waste samples including liquids (including acids, alkali's, oils, petrol, effluent, and diesel), industrial services, coatings, paints, thinners. You will travel to client sites across the south providing a professional service at all times. Candidates must be happy to travel on a regular basis and be familiar with the classification and analysis of dangerous goods.
Ensuring compliance within Safety, Environmental and Company policy
COSHH assessments
Preparation of processed waste streams for National Distribution
PACKAGE: Graduate Site Chemist ??22-23k basic / Experienced Site Chemist ??28-30k basic
EXPERIENCE: Mobile Site Chemist / Graduate Site Chemist
You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Graduate candidates will be considered for this role.
YOU WILL HAVE: a HND/Degree in Chemistry or Related Subjects E.g. Biology or Forensics will be considered only where sufficient Chemistry modules were included. Candidates will also be considered with a high pass at A Level.
On top of the above qualification the following experience or training is advantageous:
Site Chemist / Industrial Chemistry / Hazardous waste / Chemical Waste industry experience including tank farming of liquids (including acids, alkali's, oils, petrol, effluent, diesel), industrial services, coatings, paints, thinners.
PREVIOUS TITLES: Technical Assessor, Site Chemist, Industrial Chemist, Industrial Assessor, Shift Chemist, Graduate Chemist, Graduate Site Chemist, Mobile Site Chemist
QUALIFICATIONS:
IOSH or NEBOSH
Chemistry degree or a strong pass at A level

Please note that this is a mobile site chemist role so you must be willing to travel daily. Candidates must have a good level of customer service and be smart and presentable at all times
