Quantity Surveyor
Lamonby Recruitment have a new vacancy for a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist Consultancy that work on new builds and high class refurbishments
The Quantity Surveyor will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience and will be working with 1 other quantity surveyor working on projects with value of around ??1m.
Quantity Surveyor Role: -
Full Quantity Surveying skills including measurements, valuation, and agreement of work sections
Identifying areas of overspend and waste
Identifying and reviewing areas of commercial risk and opportunity
Chasing payment certificates and outstanding payments
Ensuring records are made and recorded to support any variations and claims
Producing accurate internal reporting
Optimise cash in and the net cash position
Advise on commercial risks and opportunities within the project/s
Advise Project Management on contractual implications of intended courses of action
Raising applications for payment and subsequent invoicing
Dealing with valuation of variations to the contract
Assisting the commercial team with (monthly/quarterly/yearly) cost value reports
Attending meetings with the client and negotiating final accounts
Liaising with site operatives, negotiating with client's representatives and other consultants
Closely monitor KPI data
Prepare job packs for site operatives prior to commencing works - including work orders
Schedules, utility maps etc.
Monitoring status and submission of as laid drawings - applying for payment upon submission
The projects vary but with mainly be retail/residential and offices and mostly high end products
Role Requirements and Qualifications: -
Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related subject, preferably holding RICS accreditation
2+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
Confident and outgoing personality
The desire to develop as part of a team

Salary ??25,000- ??35,000
