We are currently recruiting for full-time waking night support workers to work in a vibrant and dynamic residential home in Bridgwater. This service supports young adults (17-25) with autism and challenging behaviour.
Successful candidates will be paid ??9.13 per hour and work 3 shifts per week with a total salary of ??17,000 per year.
Benefits include:
* Full training and induction given.
* Excellent Bank Holiday rates of pay (up to triple pay)
* Company pension with employer contributions
* Full time (37.5) and part time (24) hours available
* Generous annual leave
* Fully paid DBS check
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience of supporting adults or children with complex needs is desirable but not essential
* NVQ/QCF or equivalent in Health and Social Care is desirable
* Drivers preferred.
* Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the safety of the individuals and maintaining an up to date knowledge of each individual's; care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication
* Staying attentive and doing everything viable to protect people who use the service, and others, from abuse of any nature including physical, emotional, sexual, neglectful, financial or institutional
* Creating and encouraging good relationships and communication with the staff as well as the people who use the service
* Assisting people who use the service to get involved in a range of new opportunities, experiences and activities
* Supporting complex and challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically by using the skills learnt through training
