This exciting and large scale government client is currently on the hunt for a Project Management Office Lead (PMO) with experience of working in an Agile / Scrum environment. The client is currently in process of designing and mobilising an Agile PMO function to support their growing digital portfolio of work.

What the Agile PMO Lead will work on

- The PMO will track and co-ordinate outcomes for planning, spend, quality and people across the digital change portfolio.
- The Agile PMO will support the development of a consistent delivery approach and the underlying supporting processes, including a toolkit of standardised artefacts and templates which maximise re-use and ensures streamlined adherence to governance deliverables.
- Contributes actively to the administration and governance of projects and their integration into the Digital portfolio
- Support the establishment of robust governance processes to support delivery and act as the owner for these processes and supporting artefact
- Assist the project teams by making them aware of compliance requirements and advising them on how to comply
- Act as an SME and central point for the QA and submission of documentation to support governance
- Adherence to required governance processes both for the agency and wider government. Administration and control of required artefacts
- Assist the teams by defining the appropriate tools required and listening to their feedback. Perform any configuration or customisation necessary to aid in the continuous improvement of artefacts
- Providing regular reports and updates concerning agile delivery portfolio priorities.
- Strong facilitation of meetings with the Delivery Directors and Project Executives and othe
- Project Managers (i.e. agenda management, paper collation and distribution, minutes, actions, RAID logs).
- Production of and on-going maintenance of project documents, e.g. Project Board Packs, Risk Registers, Issues Logs, Weekly reports.

Skills and experience

- Experience of Agile methodology supporting Business Transformation
- Experience of administering governance effectively at portfolio level
- Effective influencing, ability to work in teams effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good numerical / financial skills with the ability to track forecasts and actuals for reporting purposes
- Proficient in the use of Excel to analyse data and highlight trends
- Documenting and organising information e.g. in spreadsheets, document management systems, project repositories.
