We are currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with Autism Experience to work at our Mainstream and Special Needs schools in Bristol.

Our client schools are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with experience of supporting young people on the Autistic spectrum for the next term for short and long-term positions. This job might be suitable for you if you have previously supported young people with Autism within an Education/Care/Other setting.

Our schools are currently looking to consider candidates with both practical and theoretical understanding of the spectrum. The ability to manage challenging behaviour is required however not necessary depending on the circumstances of the young person.

These roles might be ideal for you if:

-You worked with young people/young adults on the ASC.
-You have previously worked within an Education/Childcare/Alternative Education setting within or outside UK.
-You are available for work 2/3 days a week minimum.
-You have a flexible approach and have got understanding of Autism and use of MAKATON/PECS
-You are looking for long-term Teaching Assistant positions
-You currently reside in Bristol or can commute/relocate within a reasonable amount of time.

Highly Desirable:

-Special Educational Needs Experience
-Training in Makaton, PECS and Autism.
