Learning Support Assistant - Birmingham

An exciting position has recently become available at an outstanding secondary school located in Birmingham. This Learning Support Assistant post requires an inventive and active graduate who is committed to a career in education.

To be considered as a Graduate Learning Support Assistant you must be a friendly graduate who has ideally but not essential held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children and an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree. You should have the capability to demonstrate a passion for working with pupils who have SEN requirements and motivate your pupils to have self belief.

You will be working in the department that is your subject strength with a connection to the Inclusion Unit and you will be tasked with providing additional support to individual pupils
or small groups to enable them to overcome barriers to learning and make or exceed expected levels of progress. You will support the class teachers in the effective delivery of the curriculum. Your development will be fuelled by the support of your SENCO mentor and the school offer many after school activities for you to contribute to.
