Our client, one of the UK's leading energy providers, is looking for a Talent Specialist to identify and support senior members with the development & mobility pipelines, including supporting their corresponding talent pools and programmes to meet future talent requirements. The role indirectly covers 6,500 staff across 8 nuclear power stations, 2 coal power stations, plus support organisations. Responsibilities: 1. Manage data to measure current and projected talent, in particular focusing on talent for leadership and business critical roles and for long term roles. 2. Work with line management, reporting to senior members and project managers and the HR community to develop plan, to recruit for international roles across Group. 3. Identify applicants who have the potentials to become full time employees, working with HRBPs to identify those who have the most to offer. 4. Establish, organise and manage various forums. 5. Work with the Talent Manager to manage the career pathways framework, in particular overseeing the creation and management of the talent that derive from this. 6. Coach line managers in their responsibilities to expats and other seconded staff and provide support and advice to managers and expats / assignees 7. Ensure the effective deployment of existing Talent Development programmes, ensuring clear linkage to succession plans and talent deployment Formal Qualifications: * Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent * Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and/or Occupational Psychology qualifications including Level NB Psychometric qualifications Specific Skills: *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are * The ability to build excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior managers * Strategic thinking * Ability to collate and analyse data accurately, addressing source data inconsistencies, and present this data in an engaging way. * Strong coaching skills, in particular career and development coaching * Ability to influence multiple groups across all levels of the organisation * Knowledge of talent management best practice *Ability to establish credibility in an environment with high levels of knowledge-workers and technical expertise Experience: *Experience of deploying innovative and effective talent governance mechanisms (succession management, talent development forums, talent identification tools etc) *Experience of designing and deploying talent and leadership development interventions *Experience of talent identification methodologies and assessment techniques including psychometrics and assessment / development centres *Experience of talent deployment practices, such as career paths, talent pools, secondments, redeployment. *Proven consulting and project management skills in a complex matrixed environment *Experience of working cross culturally
