JOB TITLE: Welding and Fabrication Trainer Assessor
LOCATION: Carlisle
SALARY AND BENEFITS: GBP29,000 - GBP30,568 DOE
COMPANY INFORMATION:
Our client is an Ofsted Outstanding Grade 1 training organisation, based in the North West of England. The company was established in June 2000 by 5 partner companies who are leading companies primarily within the nuclear industry.
There ethos focuses on providing high quality employer and learner responsive training and educational programmes. They work with over 250 employers at any one time and in the last thirteen years, over 2000 apprentices have been trained by them, with 94% of them progressing into full-time employment with their employer once training has been completed.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
* Minimum 3 years industry experience in Fabrication/ Welding
* Level 3 qualification in Fabrication/ Welding
* A sound knowledge of Fabrication/ Welding engineering principles
* Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
IDEALLY YOU ALSO HAVE:
- Assessor qualification or be willing to work towards attaining
- A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards attaining
- Experience of delivering and developing Project Management courses
- An understanding of the Apprenticeship Framework and the funding process
- Knowledge of alternative teaching/learning options
- An good level of understanding of MS office applications
- Has experience of Training Needs Analysis and Programme Design
ROLE INFORMATION
The role of the Welding and Fabrication Trainer Assessor is to deliver, assess and where necessary offer support to learners engaged in fabrication engineering courses up to Level 3, in accordance with the awarding body guidelines.
