Who we are looking for

We have an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join us and support individuals to live the lives they choose.  Because we are all different, your role as a Senior Support Worker will be varied - what you do and how you do it will depend on the needs of the individuals you are supporting.  You will have the opportunity to get involved in the leadership of the service, helping to organise rotas, maintain records and supervise colleagues.

To be a great Senior Support Worker, you will need to have some previous experience in social care.  You will know that you need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect.  You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed.  You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.

This service is an independent supported living service which supports six ladies with a variety of needs, personal care and moving and handling. Support includes mental health, learning difficulties and Autism.

Experience in care is welcome. Full training will be given to candidates who must be willing to learn new skills.
