Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual ideally with previous experience of supporting people with Autism and Learning Disabilities, to work with an active young lady who lives with her family in Hammersmith, London.
The post holder will provide support to enable her to continue enjoying activities such as going out and about in the community. It is important that the successful candidate enjoys swimming as they will be supporting this activity regularly. The post holder will need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and rapport with both the service user and her family.
The young lady has a severe learning disability, is non-verbal and requires a high level of physical and emotional support. We are looking for someone with a sensitive approach and a positive attitude. This rewarding post could offer the right candidate the opportunity to develop skills and confidence in working with families and delivering one to one to support.
The post-holder will be required to work every Sunday (or a minimum commitment to alternate Sundays), additional hours are available on other projects also.
Due to the need to provide consistency for the family we are looking for somebody who can provide a long-term commitment to the post, ideally for a minimum of a year.
Salary: £10.50 per Hour
Hours: Every Sunday or a minimum commitment to alternative Sundays between 09:00 - 16:00 (additional hours available, including sleep-ins)
Centre 404 is fully committed to staff development and supervision and will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support to learn everything needed to be a great support worker.
