- Overseeing the development of the market
- Using initiative to explore new opportunities by researching the needs of other companies and pitch new proposals and pricing
- Attending networking events to understand trends and competitors
- Liaising with customers to build strong relationships
- Developing and implement negotiation strategies for achieving sales targets
- Writing reports and feeding back to management
- Identifying new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns
- Get involved in training and recruitment when needed
To be considered for the Business Development Manager position you must have a background of excellent B2B Sales, preferably in the Office supplies industry. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:
- At least 3 years Sales experience
- Extensive knowledge of the Office Supplies or associated industry, with at least 3 years’ experience in this field
- Ability to think strategically within a multi-channel organisation
- Be commercially minded
- Strong skills and stakeholder management
- Strong negotiator and ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to multi-task whilst meeting deadlines and KPIs
