Position: Customer Demand Planner
Location: London
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

The company client is a well respected FMCG business who are actively looking to take on board a self motivated and organised Customer Demand Planner to join their rapidly expanding team based in London. The main focus of this job is to manage the forecasting and demand planning process across all product categories for the companies leading Account. The role holder will take an instrumental lead within S&OP and will be accountable for driving the core collaborative KPIs: Forecast accuracy, OTIF & On Shelf availability.This is an excellent opportunity for career development.
Major duties will cover the following:
* Create collaborative and robust demand plans using forecasting, sales figures and promotional information.
* Participate in S&OP meetings.
* Ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained to meet customer requirements whilst minimising stock holding costs.
* Maintain excellent working relationships with the retail customer and their supply chain teams.
* In conjunction with marketing, ensure all new products are developed to satisfy customer requirements/conformance and successfully integrated into the supply chain.
* Maintain good up to date working knowledge of the relevant retail portals required for supply chain, NPD, promotional activity and sales reporting
* Identify, formalise, initiate and manage Supply Chain improvement projects
* Formalise actions and support needed to solve issues and drive improved KPI performance as well reducing Transport & Warehouse costs / Cost to Serve.
Main competencies and abilities required:
* A strong understanding of Retail or FMCG supply chain with at least 2 years+ FMCG demand planning experience
* SAP/JDA highly desirable
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* Customer focused - experience of working collaboratively with key retail customers
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Diligent in completion of tasks and projects
* Competent in use of customer sales systems such as Retail Link / Tesco Connect and forecasting systems
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
