Due to growth, a fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Manager looking for a long-term position, with a flexible work pattern at a creative marketing and events company with a personal touch. Based in Brighton, East Sussex, the successful Accounts Manager will earn £30,000, negotiable, pro rata, depending on experience plus benefits.

Additional information: 22.5 hours per week. In addition to your salary you’ll receive: 20 days’ holiday with an annual increase up to a maximum of 25-days (pro rata) plus bank holidays, travel insurance, pension auto-enrolment, optional salary sacrifice scheme and private healthcare (following 1 years’ service).

- Communicating with suppliers, banks and clients to ensure timely receipt of funds
- Carrying out bi-monthly checks and reconciliations of bank accounts, income and expense posting
- Completing quarterly VAT return
- Ensuring monthly salary payment run
- Supporting Office Administration in the processing of day to day accounts
- Monthly management accounting including audit trial updating
- Preparing quarterly profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- Preparing year end Management Accountants and closing year end
- Preparing and planning budget
- Maintaining your knowledge with changes in policies and legislation including TOMS
- Understanding Tour Operators Margin Scheme
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role
- AAT Qualified or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Exceptional attention to detail
- High personal standards, outstanding common sense, and the ability to see the bigger picture
- Articulate verbal and written communication skills
- Calm and confident
- Ability to juggle, prioritise and discern tasks independently
- A respect for confidentiality
- Experience of VAT returns, prepayments, and accruals and year end accounts
- Experienced in Sage
