Position: Production Planner
Location: Essex
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000
Job type: Full time
The company client is an innovative FMCG brand who are now looking for a personable and self motivated Production Planner to be in charge for managing the production planning and product availability on site. The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with internal and external suppliers and managing the BOM and MRP. This is fantastic opportunity work in an outstanding Supply Chain team in a great culture and business.
Major duties for this job will involve:
* Manage the planning and production scheduling
* Responsible for managing cost reduction and waste analysis projects
* Liaise with manufacturing sites, to ensure minimal costs and service issues for the run out / in of new product launches
* MRP, stock planning and forecasting
* Minimise obsolescence/ SLOBs
* Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that the customer receives the product specification they require OTIF
Main abilities and background required:
* A strong understanding of Manufacturing or FMCG supply chain with at least 3 years+ FMCG supply chain experience
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* JDE desirable
* Experience working with lean processes
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Diligent in completion of tasks and projects
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
