This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and reputable firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield for ideally an AAT qualified/finalist or ACCA/ACA studying candidate looking for their next career challenge with a firm of accountants. You will have built your accounts experience from a practice environment and have at least 2 years experience in accounts preparation and bookkeeping. The firm will offer a structured training program and study package with the opportunity of career progression as well. My clients will also consider candidates with good experience who have decided not to study any further as well.

Ability to prepare draft accounts for limited companies mostly to full draft stage for management review with little assistance (Iris), including;
-Analysis of core records / invoices/ bank statements
-Bank reconciliations
-VAT reconciliations
-Wages & PAYE reconciliations
-Fixed Asset Schedules
-Various supporting schedules

Preparation of VAT returns to full draft stage with little assistance, for management review and then liaising with clients with regards to obtaining their authorisation for filing and sending payment details. VAT Returns may include overseas transactions and invoicing and therefore knowledge of VAT treatment for non-UK items is preferable.
Bookkeeping, including posting up invoices and bank transactions to software (SAGE and XERO - experience of these software are preferable), and reconciliation of bank accounts, paypal accounts and credit cards etc. This may include multi-currency, and overseas transactions. Also for some clients a full management function is offered whereby invoices and payments may need to be raised/processed.
Good time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Will need to monitor themselves and keep up to date with a list of monthly management vat returns and bookkeeping jobs, as well as preparation of year end accounts - and be able to request records directly from clients and schedule the jobs for preparation in a timely manner before they become due for review by managers.

Ability to electronically communicate in a professional manner with clients with regards to requesting records, dealing with general bookkeeping enquiries and payment enquiries.
