Our client are a major engineering firm who are looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join the team on a temp to perm basis.

Assisting the Accounts Supervisor with the day to day administration of a busy accounts office. An in depth knowledge of both Microsoft Word and Excel is essential together with excellent keyboard skills. Knowledge of 'Evolution M' would be an advantage. You should have a high level of numeracy and accuracy skills, being able to work with the minimum of supervision and as part of a team. We require an enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible individual who is able to deliver a high level of service to our Management team. You will need to be well organised with good communication and inter-personal skills. The ability to work to deadlines and priorities is essential. Experience within the construction industry or an engineering background is essential.

Hours of Work: Mon-Fri: 08.30-17.00
Can be flexible.

Job Specification:
• The preparation, costing and maintenance of the PAYE and Sub-Contractors payrolls which involves about 50-70 operatives. Ensuring that the weekly timesheets are collated and the time sheet analysis and records are completed. Administration of sub-contractors records and CIS documents and returns. Dealing with discrepancies, payroll queries and distribution of payroll slips.

• Processing new starters / leavers information and maintaining the payroll database. Maintaining personnel records and training records of employees and sub contractors. Statistical reporting from timesheets data.

• Maintaining and operating all aspects of the Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
Checking and processing purchase invoices and sub-contractors invoices ready for payment. Preparation of supplier and sub-contractor's cheque runs. Preparation and calculation of sales invoices. Dealing with suppliers and sub -contractors enquiry's together with general account queries. Processing purchase orders and matching of delivery notes.

• Administration of the Construction Industry Tax deduction Scheme (CIS)
Assisting with month end / year-end returns and accounts.

• General administration duties that are relevant to the role and are required to support the management team and site offices. As part of the administration team you will be required to carry out reception duties each day during the receptionists lunch break and on occasion to cover for holidays and sickness
