Do you have proven experience as a Payroll Officer? Are you looking to take on an exciting new challenge? If so Airborne Systems have a fantastic opportunity available for a Payroll Officer to join our team in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan.

What will I be responsible for?

Reporting to the HR Director, the role of the Payroll Officer is to ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of three monthly Payrolls and all administrative duties associated with the managing of the company`s pension schemes. You will also:

- Complete the monthly payrolls in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and auditors.
- Ensure that the company`s pension schemes are fully supported and that associated administrative duties are carried out effectively, with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and control the payroll software and other such support media to allow accurate and timely preparation of 3 monthly payrolls
- Analyse attendance data using HR/TMS software to enable the accurate calculation of pay to include the necessary deductions and additions.
- Provide the necessary reports and BACS submission files for verification before processing payments.
- Ensure all payroll matters are in accordance with HMRC requirements and returns and payments are processed within the set guidelines.

The ideal Payroll Officer:

- Ability to work to tight timescales when producing reports
- Ability to produce accurate and timely payroll data using software
- Working knowledge of the Company pension scheme and its day to day operation
- Ability to provide detailed analysis on data related to payroll, tax, NI and any other associated payroll/pensions information
- Advanced ability in using excel and database programmes
- Good general education including Maths and English
- Experience as a payroll administrator in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- A working knowledge of Flexipay and Mitrefinch would be a distinct advantage.

In return for your hard work, you can expect to receive a salary of GBP29,000 DOE, with a range of benefits.
