Financial Accountant

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a technically strong Financial Accountant for a growing business based in South Manchester. The successful candidate will have strong excel skills and be involved in balance sheet reconciliation.

The role

* Deliver accurate and relevant financial accounting reports
* Produce the balance sheet and P&L account reporting into the general ledger system
* Ensure that the nominal ledger is controlled, monitored, and updated on a regular basis; that appropriate postings are made and reconciliations performed on a timely basis with clearance of reconciling items performed monthly
* Produce and analyse a trial balance, profit and loss account and balance sheet monthly to meet reporting deadlines.
* Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory and tax accounts
* Balance sheet reconciliation and review of processes

The person

* Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Ability to clearly communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
* Positive thinker, decisive and assertive
* Commercially aware
* Capable of working to strict targets and meet deadlines
