FINANCE CONTROLLER / DIRECTOR DESIGNATE - IT SERVICES - LEEDS - UP TO GBP50,000 BASIC SALARY + EXCELLENT BENEFITS
Our client has an exciting opening for a career hungry Financial Controller looking to progress their career to Finance Director within the next 3 years.
Driven by a passion to provide the very best in outstanding IT Services for business, our client has become a thriving technology company making them one of the leading IT Service providers within Yorkshire with a team of over 80 IT specialists. This could not be achieved without the help and expertise of their valued staff.
They provide a professional working environment based in a 18th century manor house set in 5 acres of private grounds on the outskirts of North East Leeds just 5 minutes from the motorway network. They provide ongoing training at both professional and personal level to maximise career progression for their people.
Due to continued growth and plans to double the size of the business over the next 5 years they are now looking for a Finance Controller / Director Designate to support and help with this growth. This role is for a hands-on manager of the day to day function as well as someone who can challenge thinking at board level.
Responsibilities
Report to the Managing Director and Board, produce monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets, manage working capital, produce statutory information and manage and develop a team of accounts and administration staff.
In addition to these day to day responsibilities you will also:-
* Play an integral part in strategic and operational planning and decision-making.
* Provide key management information, analysis and advice to the board.
* Drive innovation and commercial initiatives from idea to implementation.
Key skills required
The successful candidate will be a qualified (or part qualified in the process of full qualification) accountant with man management experience an understanding of the Sage 200 accounting software (or similar) is desirable. You must have excellent people management & communication skills and command instant credibility with customers, suppliers and professional advisors.
