Sewell Moorhouse are working with one of our Barnsley based clients with their search for a Purchase Ledger Controller.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with a multi-million pound turnover.
The successful candidate will join an existing team reporting to the UK Chief Accountant dealing with around 500 complex invoices on a monthly basis.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:-

Processing and coding of invoices and credit notes (around 500 complex cases per month)
Maintaining a high level of internal controls required by the business
Chairing supplier issues meetings
Proactively resolving supplier and AP issues by speaking with the relevant stakeholders
Supplier statement reconciliation
BACS payment run preparation
Sundry payments, fuel and cash expense payments
Setting up and maintaining new supplier accounts

Experience required:-

Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a Purchase Ledger position
Team player
Ability to interact confidently with all levels of management
Proactive problem solving skills


Salary up to 22k without study support
Salary up to GBP20,500 with study support for AAT
Company pension scheme
