Group Commercial Accountant

Our client is a leading global brand based out the outskirts of Leeds. This is a large and impressive business that offers excellent progression for hard working and ambitious individuals. They have a brilliant opportunity for a Group Commercial Accountant to join them with an excellent career path mapped out.

This role will be highly involved in the commercial and strategic side of the business and reports into an impressive and supportive line manager.

The role will involve the following:-

-Review and analysis of the monthly management accounts with supporting commentary and KPI's
-Monitor the performance of individual cost centres against strategic business plans and were relevant support corrective action
-Develop robust and flexible financial models to support management's decision making at a tactical and strategic level
-Looking at investment appraisal on key strategic initiatives and investments
-Analyse complex financial information and financial analysis to forecast
-Involved in the planning, collation and presentation of the Annual Budget
-Monitor working capital to support commercial decisions
-Monitor key business trends
-Support Business Leaders and Departments Heads with ad hoc in depth analysis on financial and KPI performance
-Involvement in M&A activity inclusive of integration as businesses are acquired

The ideal candidate will be:-

-A part qualified accountant with a strong academic background
-A positive and robust attitude that thrives in a challenging environment
-Someone who is not afraid to get out into the business and support with commercial decisions
-A strong user of Excel - financial modelling would be advantageous but not essential
-Strong analytical skills
