Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Eastleigh-Winchester area
Busy friendly team, with an expanding specialist broking firm. This is a company that has strong working relations with their clients, really building a rapport and providing a close attentive service.
The team work closely together to service all aspects of new and existing business, and so they are looking to appoint flexible, pro-active people, who will enjoy the variety and their passion for service.
Their client portfolio includes specialist scheme areas, as well as open market Commercial Insurance clients, covering a wide sector, including for example - Leisure Groups, Professional practices, Commercial Combined for Shops and Offices, Marine related companies, Vets and Equine related enterprises.
Business is placed with a wide panel of Insurers, and they are able to offer highly competitive quotations and cover, and offer expert market advice.
You will be providing new business quotations for new clients and existing client; following up to answer any queries and to secure the business.
Identifying any opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell.
Quoting for renewals, re-broking to the market as required, and ensuring high levels of business retention.
Maintaining accurate renewal diaries.
Responding to day to day queries, and handling mid-term adjustments.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all work is processed in accordance with FCA regulatory requirements.
Liaising with Insurers and building relationships with Underwriters.
Experience/skills required:
Applicants should be able to offer 2 years + Commercial Insurance broking experience, with a good grounding in the major classes of business, including for example:
Commercial Property, Combined Buildings, Public & Employers Liability, Business Interruption, Commercial Motor etc.
Any experience in more specialist areas is an advantage, for example - Legal Expenses, Professional Indemnity, Equine Insurance or Bloodstock Insurance for example is an advantage.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail.
A strong client focus.
Cert CII or progress or willingness to complete.
A good understanding of FCA TCF requirements.
This is an out of town location in a lovely working environment, for which own transport is highly advisable - and staff parking is available.
Good/easy commuting for radius of Eastleigh - Romsey - Winchester - Basingstoke etc
