Accounts Manager Job Description


  • Managing accounts for two limited companies. Departmental accounts
  • Managing office administration
  • Posting Purchase and Sales Invoices
  • Posting Cash. Bank Reconciliations
  • Managing Invoice Factoring System
  • Managing Fuel Card Account
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts. Accruals and prepayments. Posting journals
  • Advising on year end accounts. Working directly with external accountants to produce them
  • Cash management. Planning and monitoring positive cash flow. Bank payments
  • Full spectrum of credit control. Credit checks on potential customers. Chasing for payments, dealing with queries, Court claims and obtaining judgements, debt recovery.
  • Dealing with HMRC, Companies House, Banks, Invoice Factoring Company, Pension Administrators, CVA Administrators, Auditors & External Accountants
  • Analysis of accounts (ratios and variances) Investigating and explaining differences and correcting eventual errors
  • VAT & PAYE submissions, reconciliations and payments
  • Management of loan accounts
  • Running weekly and monthly payroll for two companies using Sage 50 Payroll. RTI submissions. Holiday scheme, SSP and other statutory payments. Processing year end payroll
  • Managing pension scheme
  • Negotiating and agreeing contracts for energy, services, insurance, telephone, laundry etc
  • Fleet register management (tax, MOT, Insurance)
  • Goods In Notes checking, approving and posting on Redthorn System. Matching with purchase invoices. Approving them for payment
  • Reporting to Managing Director
