As a skilled provider of audit, accounting, tax and business services including outsourced finance functions and payroll, our client is an Accountancy Age Top 100 UK Accounting Practice that is currently experiencing significant growth. As such, they are now looking for an AAT Trainee to join their Corporate team.

You’ll have the chance to increase your experience as you study to gain your AAT qualification and take those valuable first steps towards a rewarding career in accounting. 

As an AAT Trainee, you’ll be responsible for helping to provide a high quality accounting service for Clients. 

You will support and accompany senior staff on Client audits at client site and prepare materials and documentation to assist in the auditing process. 

Preparing Client accounts, you’ll assist with the preparation of VAT returns and budgets, as well as maintaining a variety of records. 

You’ll also directly liaise with Clients to gain information regarding their accounts, so a great telephone manner is key. 

As part of your role, you may be required to travel to Client sites to assist with outsourced accounts or project-related work. 

Interested? Whilst no experience is necessary, a strong desire and proven drive towards a career in accountancy is essential. Therefore to be considered, you must have: 

- A good level of IT literacy, including experience of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
- Either commenced AAT, completed a related degree or worked within an accounting and finance function 
- A-Level qualifications (or equivalent) 

Resilient and enthusiastic, as an AAT Trainee, you must be a passionate team player with strong communication skills. You’ll also be a quick thinker with a logical and analytical approach.
