Our client is a family owned care home with Nursing for the discerning elderly and mentally frail over the age of 65, located in Horndean near Waterlooville, Hampshire.
They are Investors in People Company and place training as top priority for all of their staff to ensure they continue to meet their commitment to provide outstanding care and nursing care.

Position Summary
As Healthcare Assistant your role will involve attending with the care team to follow and contribute toward the resident’s plan of care.
• Assisting residents who need help with dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and using the toilet with due regard for residents privacy
• Helping residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities such as incontinence
• Helping in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities and recreation and liaising with their family / friends
• Read / write reports and care plans and take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed.
• Maintaining clean bedrooms and communal rooms
• Work closely with domestic assistants (Cooks, Kitchen Assistants and Cleaners) to the benefit of the resident
• Maintain good relationships with relatives and friends of residents
• Ensure any concerns relatives have, are reported immediately to a senior staff member
• Have an awareness of cost control on product usage and utilities such as electricity and water

• Domestic and housekeeping skills
• Recognition of the need for confidentiality
• Understanding the principles underpinning the delivery of care
• Ability to record information accurately, objectively and within prescribed timescales
• Ability to promote independence
• Empathetic individual
