The Hygiene Deputy Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation of the hygiene team, working with the Hygiene Supervisor.

Job Description

  • Ensure all site cleaning is carried out to schedule, records completed and team observes all good hygienic and good manufacturing practices.
  • Supervise hygiene team on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Organise shift pattern and holidays to ensure all scheduled cleaning is carried out.
  • Escalate any people management issues as they occur.
  • Guide hygiene staff through any areas, which they have issues with or seek advice. 
  • As senior member of night shift, oversee other night shift departments.
  • Carry out daily hygiene audits and communicate these to the QA Manager.
  • Produce reports of any non-conformances and verify that corrective actions are carried out.


  • Experience of FMCG GMP, HACCP, COSHH, hygiene and cleaning systems.
  • Qualified and experienced in food hygiene.
  • Knowledge of CIP systems.
