The Team

The HR Reward, Benefits, Wellbeing and Global Mobility team comprises 1 Manager and 3 Advisors (Senior Reward and Benefits Advisor, Pensions & Benefits Advisor and Global Mobility Advisor). The team works closely with the HR Generalists, the Recruitment Team, Employee Relations, HR Systems and Diversity and Inclusion.

The Role

The Senior Reward and Benefits Advisor will work closely with the Head of Reward, Wellbeing and Global Mobility and the two other Advisors to provide specialist support to the business. The Senior Reward and Benefits Advisor reports into and is supervised by the Head of Reward, Wellbeing and Global Mobility and will deputise for them when required.

Key responsibilities include:


Provide support and assist in the co-ordination of the annual Salary Review process across EMEA
Consistently review the Salary Review process for automation and introduce improvements
Carry out post Salary Review analysis, position against market, equal pay etc.
Participate in benchmarking, research exercises and surveys; additionally act as the source of information relating to the benchmarking surveys (e.g. Tower Watson) and all salary review questions
Assist with the Bonus scheme process liaising with finance as required
Develop proposals for the Salary Review Committee and identify relevant market intelligence where appropriate, following up with recommendations where needed
Review competitors on a quarterly basis; prepare market trends/updates report


Responsible for administering PHI claims and managing process in conjunction with the HR Advisors
Assist with proposals for annual health and risk renewals, developing proposals when required
Responsibility for the day to day management of specific benefits alongside the Pensions and Benefits Advisor, which may change from time to time, but currently are UK and International Healthcare, PHI, Life Assurance, Mortgage Advisory, Will Writing and Gyms,
Assist with meeting payroll deadlines, notifying the payroll team of relevant deductions
Work with the HR Service Delivery team to ensure any changes in benefits and respective literature is updated in a timely manner
Ensure International benefits are set up for global assignees and ensure benefits are maintained accordingly
Run and issue provider renewal reports
Assist with benefits queries and be the primary source of information on all assigned benefits
Prepare International Healthcare recharge report at the end of the financial year to be reported to finance and payroll
Provide benefit presentations, new joiner inductions and surgeries to employees and trainee solicitors
Day to day management and maintenance of the Flexible Benefits system
Oversight and point of contact for complex Benefit Admin queries

HR Systems

Understand and familiarise yourself with all HR technology that is in use (eg. Cognos, Darwin, Smartstream)
Take responsibility to ensure that the Reward, Mobility and Benefits HR intranet site is kept up-to-date
Manage the Health and Wellbeing page on the intranet
Prepare monthly reports required by Finance (eligibility, salary bill, healthcare recharge)

Ad Hoc / Projects

Undertake ad-hoc project work, liaising with HR teams in other locations as necessary and co-ordinating with HR generalist teams as required.
Produce ad-hoc reports as and when required for team and for client group when requested
Prepare Absence data for Income protection provider and ensure follow up with HR Advisor where necessary
Assist with developing the Health and Wellbeing initiative, co-ordinating events and creating campaigns on relevant topics

Skills and Experience Required

HR experience in the area of Reward and Benefits is essential but there is scope to develop within the team with our growing Wellbeing initiatives and other projects
Ideally Legal or Professional Services experience
Experience of working in an office environment
Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and ideally an HR database. Use of Darwin, Thomson technology would be useful
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
Strong numeric skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team working collaboratively
Ability to prioritise and juggle tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with demanding internal clients
Strong organisational skills
Ability to manage time effectively
Strong GCSE's and A-levels (or equivalent) (A-C). Ideally a degree in an HR related subject
Must present a professional, friendly and client focused attitude and approach at all times
Confident and flexible approach to taking on new tasks and projects
Flexible in relation to hours prepared to work late where business requirements or team tasks dictate
