We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Process Development Technologist to join our clients Process Development Team.

This would be an ideal role for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who is looking to progress further within Process Development. Our client are an exciting and fast paced food business, passionate about growing their brands in the UK and internationally. Based in Leigh, Lancashire the role is commutable from Manchester Leigh, Liverpool, Warrington Bolton St Helens etc.

Our client are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about food and would like to pursue a career in Process Development. This will be a hands-on role working closely with Manufacturing. Working with a wide variety of stakeholders you will be an excellent communicator and good at building strong working relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Progress the food and process technology aspects of both branded and own-label development projects. Support the whole process of scaling up products from the kitchen to full factory production.
• Provide product and process support for Commercial - Marketing, Sales and Customer Services.
• Support the evaluation of alternative ingredients and suppliers.
• Assessment of packaging artwork and label design briefs.
• Support Manufacturing with any trials - identify improvements, engage in trouble-shooting activity, answer queries and manage deviations.
• Support Manufacturing and Site Technical departments in food technology product and process challenges
• Actively participate in daily batch taste panels.

Skills / Experience:

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 depending on experience + Benefits
