Junior IT Architect

Full-time, Permanent
Location: Cambridge
Salary: GBP24,300 - GBP27,300 + different benefits

We are looking for a keen technologist to join our Architecture team. As a junior member of the team you will be collaborating with infrastructure, solution and data architects to provide new technology solutions for Cambridge Assessment. You will work on a broad spectrum of projects from designing the technology for the company's new headquarters, improving the automation capabilities within the distribution centres, to delivering new computer based testing solutions.

About the role:

The main focus of the role will be supporting the architects in carrying out analysis of existing systems and investigating new technologies and ways of deploying them to meet business objectives. Other key activities include creating storyboards and technology roadmaps, maintaining the architecture repository toolset and helping to build and validate the models within the repository.

About you:

To meet the requirements of the role you should live and breathe technology and have great communication and collaboration skills.

It is advantageous to have specific knowledge of the technologies required to build web based applications and have experience of supporting applications in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.

An understanding of architecture techniques including gap analysis and requirement gathering is desirable, as is experience with design tools such as Visio and InDesign.
