As an Assistant Manager, you will work with the Registered Manager to ensure that the delivery of the Home Care Service exceeds the requirements outlined by the Care Standards 2015. You will ensure the best quality of care is provided by staff by carrying out regular spot checks, supervisions, induction of new staff, reviews, risk assessments and maintaining client paperwork to a high standard. You will support the Registered Manager during periods of leave and any other absence by undertaking on-call duties to ensure the department continues to operate to CQC Standards. You will have overall responsibilities for ensuring rostering, maintaining staffing capacities in line with the growth of department and company and ensuring care packages are covered at all times.

You’ll have experience working within a supervisory role that provides and support for lone workers. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and encourage employees to ensure that CQC standards are maintained.

You will possess both strong communication and IT skills within the MS Office package and will also hold strong time management skills to be able to meet demands of a fast moving and ever changing department.
