An excellent opportunity has arisen for a street-based Security Officer with fantastic customer service skills to join our existing team, based in Central London, earning an hourly pay of £9.40 an hour.
As a security officer you will ensure the safety and security of people, premises and property. Working shifts from early morning to post lunch and post lunch until late evening on a roster system with some weekend work involved. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security requirements of this very high profile site, maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security requirements of this very high profile site, maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism. As a security officer some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring relevant security and public safety procedures are carried out, including moving on rough sleepers and dealing with issues of anti-social behaviour within guidelines laid down
- Undertaking patrols and inspections in accordance with management instruction and taking necessary action where necessary
- Proficient use of relevant communications equipment will require candidate to have flawless communication skills
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to
- Maintaining an accurate record of incidents that occur via PDA
- Acting as a point of contact between visitors, Police, other security officers, owners/tenants
- Smart, well-groomed and confident
- Exceptionally clear communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills
- A commitment to providing five-star customer service is essential
- Good report writing skills
- Conflict management aware
- Can apply sound judgement and effective decision-making
- Able to adapt to changing situations
- Able to work a variable shift pattern
- Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education
- SIA Door Supervision licence
- First Aid training would be an advantage
