Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Floating Weighbridge Administrator to our team in Oldham, Manchester. Working 44 Hours Per week, Rotational Shift Pattern.

What will I be responsible for?

You will be responsible for the control and operation of a weigh bridge in accordance with The Working Plan, The Site licence, EN ISO9002/ISO14001 and the Company’s Policies and Procedures.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Liaising with the public, client representatives and regulators; ensuring duty of care documentation is completed
  • Acting independently, seeking support and guidance from Supervision and Management as necessary
  • Ensuring all site vehicle movements are weighed and correctly coded to produce statistical information for use in internal reports
  • Controlling all site traffic to provide safe and efficient site use
  • Advising and assisting site users and visitors, to best achieve their requirements, to inform of other sites and services, to maximise recycling initiatives, to provide safe and efficient site use and portray the best corporate image
  • Assisting in the monitoring of incoming waste to determine waste types and quantities to ensure conformity to site permit
  • Supporting the separation and securing of hazardous and special waste types to ensure conformity to site permit
  • Ensuring all site vehicle movements are weighed and correctly coded to produce statistical information for use in internal reports

The ideal Floating Weighbridge Administrator:

  • Previous waste industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills, able to respond to and give verbal advice and direction, to communicate with members of the public, traders and regulators
  • Ability to plan and progress a series of jobs within guidelines, make frequent decisions involving the use of initiative and judgement without access to seniors
  • Full driving licence and use of own private vehicle

In return for your hard work as a Floating Weighbridge Administrator, you can expect to receive a salary of £23,711.04 per annum plus a range of benefits.
