Position: MOJ Claims Negotiator
Location: East Sussex
Salary: £22000 - £26000 per annum

Our company client is a well known organisation who are currently seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious MOJ Claims Negotiator for their MOJ claims department based on the South Coast of East Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of personal injury (MOJ) cases from initial notification through to settlement and ensure all payments are made in a timely and cost efficient manner. For this role flexible working hours may be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for career development.
Main duties will involve:
* You will negotiate quantum with third party solicitors for bodily injury, on claims where liability has been accepted, under the value of £25,000.00
* Communicating via incoming and outbound calls alongside written correspondence with the policyholder, keeping them updated of all developments, while having external communications largely with solicitors.
* Investigating liability where required, by telephone enquiries, accident report forms, instructing accident investigators, applying for police reports or any other necessary investigations
* To ensure each claim is dealt with in line with company/departmental procedure/philosophy and within service standards through to settlement stage in line with personal authorities Settle claims in a timely manner, achieving appropriate economic settlements and avoiding financial leakage
* Ensure that you are meeting customer's fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes and place customer's interests at the heart of how we do business.
Background and competencies required:
* Experience handling personal injury motor claims from initial notification through to settlement
* Experience using the MOJ portal to process and manage motor injury claims
* Strong commercial awareness within motor insurance
* Strong negotiation and customer service skills
* CII preferred but not essential
* Relevant legal qualifications preferred but not essential
