Area Manager
Area Manager required by a leading national high street shoe retailer with over 140 branches across the UK. To date they have an enviable track record of profit and growth and are looking to maximise this with ongoing growth in 2016 and beyond.
Based in the East Midlands you will oversee an area comprising circa 10 shops. This role is about effectively leading and managing a team and business within a specified area, ensuring profitability and delivering to specific customers needs.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring area delivers in line with objectives set.
- Taking part in projects and delivering within timescales as required.
- Maximising the area profitability
- Control expenses to within budget
- Establish and remain aware of competitor activity, practices and operations.
- Liaise with senior management to identify and evaluate prospective expansion opportunities.
- Ensure correct staffing templates are applied with each store within own area. Contribute to the budget process, submitting proposals in the required format.
- Develop staff to carry out Local Area Marketing.
- Assist store managers in targeting geographic areas to be developed.
- Coordinate activities that will heighten customer awareness e.g. open days
- Regular appraisal of marketing material on display.
- Monitor retail presentation and pricing.
- Ensure key promotional periods are advertised and promoted.
