ROLE – ADMIN / ACCOUNTS

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and redirect them where necessary
  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct supplier’s ledger and general ledgers
  • Keep track, process and reconcile payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices and statements
  • Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/receipts/delivery notes
  • Setting up new pre-payments from purchase invoices and posting monthly journals
  • Purchasing of small consumable items and maintaining/updating the purchase order spreadsheet.
  • Regular tabulate data and compile necessary reports
  • Maintain an effective filing system of invoices, delivery notes, timesheets etc

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a high degree of accuracy
  • Hands on experience with spreadsheets and SAGE 50 software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Familiarity with office organisation and optimisation techniques
  • Ability to maintain effective and tidy filing systems
  • Excellent written and telephone communication skills
  • Customer service orientation skills
  • Dynamic and energetic but mature

Hours / Holiday

Hours - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Breaks – 30min lunch / 10mins morning and afternoon

Holiday Entitlement – 20 Days (1.66 days per month worked)

Bank Holidays – 8 Days

Christmas Shutdown – 5 Days (to be taken out of your 20 Day allowance)

Notice Period – 4 weeks

Probatory Period – 3 Months
