You must be organised, articulate,interested in relevant technical areas, and be able to present well to clients.
You probably have a technical background and have experience of applications which involved significant user interface design - ideally developing web applications using Linux, Apache, Perl, MySQL and other web based technologies and protocols. You don't need to remember the details of these technologies, but a good understanding of principals, limitations, and how things work would be an advantage.
You should have a strong interest in requirements gathering and user interface design, both practically and from a theoretical perspective.
You should bring a range of techniques, tools and methodologies that you have used to tackle a similar role throughout the entire business analysis lifecycle. Data modelling, UML and prototyping skills would be an advantage.
