OVERVIEW:
The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. The Head of Policy and Public Affairs leads the NSPCC's public policy development and advocacy work. The postholder is a member of the Senior Management Team of the Strategy, Policy and Evidence Directorate and the organisation's leadership team.
NSPCC's new 5 year strategy brings together all the work of the NSPCC to achieve 5 goals. By pulling all our work together around the Goals, we expect to achieve greater impact for children and to inspire others to join us in our fight for childhood. The postholder will shape our advocacy calls to achieve change for children.
The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will work closely with our Policy and Public Affairs Teams in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and our Media and Campaigns Teams. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and influencing skills and be an inspiring team leader with strong management experience.
