Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced SHEQS Business Partner to join the team across the UK on a 12 month contract basis.

What will I be responsible for?

The successful SHEQS Business Partner will have a strong focus on implementing the SHEQS Roadmaps and National Pillar lead programmes and other initiatives, maintaining compliance requirements and all legal obligations. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Implement the SHEQS strategy & program to reduce risk, increase responsibility and increase reputation. 
• Ensure adherence to all company principles, policies and requirements related to SHEQS and other requirements as appropriate.
• Implement, control, maintain and improve the SHEQS Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO14001, ISO50001, OHSAS18001, ISO 9001 certification.
• Provide coaching & support to Management teams and Line Managers in order to achieve the SHEQS objectives and to ensure SHEQS becomes / remains a line management responsibility.
• Implement the SHEQS risk assessment program at a regional level, including assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action and auditing, as well as ensuring a focus on Habit Based Safety and culture.

The ideal SHEQS Business Partner 

We are looking for someone who understands the vision and direction of the business in terms of the company’s overall goals and objectives, with experience of implementing programmes through technical project management, leading to continuous improvement in SHEQS performance in line with Viridor's values.  You will also require: 

• Great communication and facilitation skills, together with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong planning and organisational skills are also essential in order to effectively prioritise tasks within a high pressure environment.
• Degree in relevant subject (Environment/science)
• Extensive experience across SHEQS functions
