Mechanical Estimator (Assistant to Senior Mechanical Estimator)

Salary up to £45,000 + Pension + Health Cover

A renowned Mechanical contractor based in Southampton is searching for a Mechanical Estimator to join the team. They will consider an Assistant to Senior level.

My client is a medium sized mechanical services contractor undertaking projects across the south of England.

They work within the south coast specialising in public and private sector clients in the commercial, industrial and large-scale domestic markets. They are looking to recruit mechanical estimator to join the existing team. 

Responsibilities & Duties 

To provide estimated costs of proposed projects 
The production and submission of Mechanical tenders 
Analyze construction drawings and technical specifications 
To ensure that materials, equipment and plant detailed in specifications and drawings are identified correctly 
To liaise with specialists and consultants as appropriate to obtain assistance and advice 
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors 
Review sub-contractor tenders 
Attend meetings as required 
To represent the Company at meetings as required. 
Assist Contract Managers 
To liaise with staff, client departments, contractors, suppliers as appropriate 
To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems. 
Perform other duties as assigned
