Refrigaration Engineer

Title: Refrigeration Engineer 
Location: Portsmouth 
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 
 
My client is a well established business existing on the market since 1986 that is a stevedoring company offering warehousing and refrigeration services operating in the Portsmouth area and is currently looking for refrigeration engineer. 
 
The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing the appropriate technical expertise to the company so that equipment and facilities are maintained in good order by the use of proactive and reactive management procedures. 
 
Key responsibilities:

Undertaking maintenance on all refrigeration plant and equipment. 
Cleaning all on site evaporators in accordance with the work programme. 
Carry out thermal imaging and vibration analysis of all plant and equipment and to record data collected onto the refrigeration database for audit purposes. 
Maintaining all equipment provided by company for the purpose of undertaking the role and responsibilities of Refrigeration Engineer. 
To be available on call should a fault result in the need to be contacted in an out of normal working hours. 
To undertake plant checks on Saturday mornings. 
 
Please be aware that you need to be able to work externally in all weather conditions, including in confined spaces, working at height and night work. 
 
Working hours: 
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 
On call payment of over £1500 per annum available 
 
Qualifications: 

Fgas category 1 
CSCS 
IPAF 
PASMA
