22 hours per week (0.6 FTE) job share post. Working pattern to be discussed with some flexibility to cover early mornings and evenings plus some weekends as required.

Where early morning or evening cover is required, hours of cover would fall between 8:00am to 8:30pm.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual who is committed to best practice in learning development, to lead on our learning development strategy playing a key role in enhancing student experience at Bishop Grosseteste University.

Applications are invited for the above post in the University's Learning Development team which is part of the Centre for Enhancement in Learning and Teaching (CELT). The person appointed will be co-responsible for planning and delivering an integrated learning development service, working directly with students, academics and professional support staff,  to help a diverse range of students achieve their full academic potential.

The Learning Development Tutor will provide individual tutorials, group workshops and staff CPD sessions, focusing particularly on innovative and collaborative practice. This post involves developing creative resources to innovatively support the development of students' academic practices.  Working closely with academic staff to establish, enhance and deliver learning development activity within academic programmes, the successful applicant will develop strategic approaches to enhance learning development across the University's portfolio.

Applicants for this post should be graduates, with experience of teaching or supporting learning in a higher education environment and confident in dynamically presenting to large groups of students and colleagues. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.
