Job Description

To provide an employment administration service, maintain both computerised and manual information systems and to provide the service’s frontline response service. Also to assist with producing and analysing workforce information.

The Individual

Clerical/ administrative experience
Setting-up and maintaining comprehensive filing systems
Gathering and analysing information
Drafting responses to miscellaneous items of correspondence
2 Higher grades or equivalent, English preferred
Ability to give constructive advice under pressure
Ability to work using initiative and common sense and to take balanced decisions or seek advice when required
Effective organisational skills and ability to prioritise own work
Word processing skills
Computer literate
Must be numerate
Basic knowledge of employment legislation and relevant issues
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Able to relate to people at all levels
Appreciation, acceptance of and commitment to importance of confidentiality
Flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service
Ability to work in a shared office
Ability to work in different offices

Temporary until March 2017

Starting Salary: £19,264 (pro rata)
£10.22 per hour
18.13 hours per week
