Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior
Our client provide a range of accounting, audit, taxation and management accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients. As well as SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises), they also look after the business concerns of very small entities such as sole-traders and partnerships as well as the affairs of some large businesses with much more complex, technical requirements.
Position: Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Hours: 37.5 per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.30pm
Salary: Up to GBP27,000 per annum
Benefits: 28 days` holiday including statutory holidays rising with length of service and / or promotion, plus discretionary Christmas shutdown; discounted private medical and dental cover, subsidised corporate gym membership, contributory pension arrangements, season ticket loan for travel, childcare vouchers
About the role:
The firm is recruiting for an Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior to join the Nottingham office. This role may be ideal for an ambitious individual with a smaller firm wanting to move to a Top 15 or for someone currently in an environment where there is limited opportunity for progression. The right person can expect early responsibility and will progress through the ranks and play a real role in the future of the practice.
You will prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio containing a variety of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as dealing with accounting-related queries from clients (including Sage queries). You will assist with the preparation of VAT returns for clients as and when required and support managers in the accounts department with a variety of tasks such as filing accounts at Companies House and communicating opening balance adjustments to clients.
About you:
To be considered for this role you must have experience in accountancy handling a portfolio of clients in a professional firm. No formal accountancy qualifications are required, it is more important that the candidate can demonstrate their experience in preparing accounts for clients. Knowledge of Sage is essential, but any knowledge of Iris, CCH Accounts Production would be beneficial.
