We have just registered a fantastic opportunity for an experienced collections advisor to join a small but expanding team as a collections specialist. You will be dealing with arrears, negotiating repayments, advising customers and dealing with appointed third parties.
You must have experience working in collections to be successful in this role and this is a great chance to work with a small and exciting team.
As Collections Specialist, your duties will include:
* Managing a portfolio of arrears profiles effectively
* Dealing with customer contact on an initial and on-going basis via calls and email
* Dealing with arrears from one payment down to debts in a pre-external debt collection agency queue
* Negotiating repayment plans with customers by considering a customer's income and outgoings and agreeing a mutually agreeable plan
* Advising customers of the free debt management advice available to them
* Dealing with appointed third parties.
To be successful in this role you must have sufficient collections experience and be competent at dealing with difficult customers. You must also possess the following skills and experience:
* Collections experience
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent telephone manner
* IT proficient
* Ability to deal with difficult customers confidently.
