Proposition Manager
One of the UK's leading general insurance and financial services companies are hiring for an experienced Proposition Manager to join their growing team.
The Role
Develop, implement and manage the investment proposition consisting of their own and endorsed external funds for both advised and non-advised distribution.
Job Specification
Lead, define, enhance, manage, monitor and maintain the funds proposition, including manufactured funds and a selection of endorsed external funds, to deliver commercial targets in line with the business plan. Research, analyse and monitor the funds sector to identify changing customer needs, the competitive landscape and external environment to ensure the funds proposition remains in line with customer, market and commercial requirements.
Develop, drive, deliver, monitor and improve the investment governance process, including acting as business lead for the funds proposition steering group, for both their own and endorsed external funds to ensure service level agreements are met and that new funds are successfully integrated in a timely manner. Select, lead, manage and monitor relationships with external fund providers. Effectively manage the distribution agreements process to ensure all Asset Managers have signed and them and that the current funds have distribution agreements in place. Brief, review, check and approve all relevant marketing communications and campaigns to ensure that technical content relating to the funds proposition is accurately reflected.
Person Specification
Essential
* Excellent working knowledge of fund management and broader financial markets
* Ability to present investment views with clarity and to fit the audience
* Extensive experience of investment funds, particularly in the context of collective investment schemes, funds of funds and life and pension funds, together with an understanding of modern portfolio theory
* Experience of project life cycle and delivery of strategic projects
Desirable
* Solid understanding of the retail advice process and the mechanics of providing funds advice
Qualifications/Other
Educated to degree level or equivalent Chartered Financial Analyst or working towards achieving these qualifications
