A new vacancy for a Sales Account Manager with leading provider of test, inspection & certification services to the UK Construction industry. Based at the company's headquarters in Hertfordshire, the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities with customers in a role that will include both office and customer-facing sales work.

The purpose of the job is to deliver consistent, sustainable, profitable growth in sales revenues across all the company's products and services for a designated geographical area. Consistently achieve high levels of client satisfaction and trust. Identify new commercial and sales opportunities. Support the Business Development & Sales Manager to develop, implement and deliver commercial and sales strategies and plans. Directly manage allocated client accounts.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3yrs experience in either a telephone or field-based technical sales role, and will have a strong track record both in managing existing customer accounts and winning new business. The successful candidate will able to demonstrate a good understanding of the UK Construction industry and will ideally have experience selling into this sector. Although an engineering qualification isn't an essential requirement, good technical aptitude is important. Those with experience selling a technical service (as opposed to a product) will be of particular interest
