My client is looking for an experienced Bid Manager who has the ability to prepare winning bids as well as managing allocated bids and taking ownership of the whole bid process. The successful candidate must be well organised, have excellent time management, have outstanding communication and presentation techniques and the ability to integrate across the wider company.
Key responsibilities:
* To manage the big qualification process for new opportunities
* Manage bids affectively, communicating with stakeholders
* Contributing effectively towards bid strategies
* Management of the Bid/Sales Administration team
* Preparation of presentations
* Leading the delivery of strategic and complex bid opportunities
* Preparing and reviewing all aspects of the bid
* Monitoring pricing to ensure competitively priced bids
* Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
* Writing business winning proposals and adhering to budgets set
* Ensure bids are delivered fully compliant within a timely manner
* Tailoring the bid process appropriately for the opportunity
* Managing customer interaction and customer facing when required
* Oversee, maintain and update the sales opportunity tracker, the CRM database and the sales pipeline
* Following up on meetings and maintaining all sales documentation
* Collating, analysing and presenting sales figures for monthly or quarterly meetings
* Provide market analysis and research relating to new, existing and potential clients
* Providing research on clients for specific client meetings
Key requirements:
* APMP Practitioner or Professional level
* Proven ability to manage, write and deliver business winning solutions
* Three years minimum experience in bid management from identifying opportunities through to delivery
* Experience in managing and reporting sales forecasts, pipeline and result data
* Holds great knowledge of the competitive markets
* Good commercial understanding of P&L and risk management skills
* Managing complex and multiple projects whilst meeting deadlines and communicating with multiple company stakeholders
